Clinical Simulation technicians from Spain come together to promote networking
The concern of clinical simulation technicians in Spain, with a decisive vision and favoring the evolution of the sector

Driven by the passion that unites them, the technical team of the Catholic University of Valencia and the University of Valencia, together with the technical team of the Technological Center for Medical Training of A Coruña (CTF) come together within the framework of the clinical simulation congress organized by SESSEP 2023 in order to give value to the experience and knowledge of the rest of the technicians in the Spanish territory, as well as to promote networking.
The initiative is led by Alberto Centeno who, together with his team, has organized a pre-congress day on April 19 for simulation technicians. The conference consists of four modules or blocks that cover topics of interest for the day-to-day of simulation technicians. The first three make it possible to create a workspace in which new ideas and projects are raised. In the fourth module, it aims to present a series of challenges that attendees must solve in groups.
These challenges consist of real problems or limitations that Spanish simulation centers have been encountering without being able to solve them. The wide range of technical profiles allows the creation of multidisciplinary groups that are experts in a wide variety of subjects, which makes looking for solutions an enriching activity.
In recent months they have worked to compile real difficulties and limitations to be classified by typology and assigned according to the groups of technicians’ profiles. The groups will be guided by other members of the organizing team, who are simulation technicians with extensive experience in centers that use clinical simulation as a teaching tool, and will try to guide the resolution of the challenges.
Once the conference is over, those challenges with materializable proposals will be brought to the attention of the centers that exposed the problem, and collaborative work between centers will be promoted.
If you work in a simulation centre, now you have the opportunity to present your ideas and problems as challenges to be solved by multidisciplinary technical profiles that will be worked on collaboratively during the Pre-Congress Day of Simulation Technicians. If you are interested, send us your challenge by filling in this form.
Congratulations to the promoters for this great initiative! It is amazing that projects like these are launched, which allow the clinical simulation sector to grow exponentially by sharing knowledge and experiences among professionals.
